Ab Joy processes the personal data of web visitors and contact persons.
Ab Joy is the legal entity responsible for the processing of your personal data. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”), Ab Joy is defined as the Controller.
Ab Joy wishes to inform you transparently about how we process the personal data that you provide to us. Whenever you provide personal data, Ab Joy will handle it in accordance with the obligations laid down by the GDPR, other applicable laws and regulations with regard to the processing of personal data, and that which is determined in this privacy policy.
This privacy policy explains which data Ab Joy processes when, why and in what way.
1. When do we process your (personal) data?
Your personal data is collected through different channels:
• When you visit our website
• When you subscribe to our newsletter
2. What personal data does Ab Joy process?
When you wish to make use of our services, we ask you for a number of personal details:
• Email address
• Preferred language
We also collect data about the use of our website, such as the time that you visit us and the subject matter that you view. The response to our emails (open and clicks) is also recorded, but not at an individual level.
3. Why do we process your (personal) data?
The data collected by us is processed for the following purposes:
• To be able to provide you with the requested service or information
• For detecting fraud and other legal infringements
• To improve the quality of our services
• To keep you informed of specific shows that may interest you
Ab Joy uses cookies on its websites. We do this in order to analyse our website and ensure that it functions optimally, in order to improve our service and for social media.
4. Storage period
Ab Joy stores your (personal) data for a maximum of 5 years after your last contact with Ab Joy.
5. Security
Ab Joy has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures, and visibly and invisibly monitors and protects all its services against misuse and fraud.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, everyone has a number of rights. You may ask Ab Joy for access to the personal data about you that we process. We will also state how and why we process this data. If you believe that Ab Joy is processing incorrect or incomplete data, then we will modify it at your request. You may also request that we delete it. It may be the case that Ab Joy is still obliged to process the data for other purposes (administrative, fiscal retention obligation). If you suspect that we are processing your personal data unlawfully or inaccurately, then you can also have the processing restricted. You may also object to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes or other purposes. The right to data portability is new under the GDPR. You may ask Ab Joy to transfer your personal data or to have it transferred.
We are not a commercial institution that wants to send you spam in the form of unnecessary emails and offers. Every newsletter that we send you has a link at the bottom through which you can unsubscribe. If you no longer wish to receive physical post from us, you may always let us know. Please note that it may take around 10 days to process your request.
If you wish to exercise your rights as regards the processing of your (personal) data by Ab Joy, then you may submit a request to Ab Joy to that effect using the address below. Your request will then be processed free of charge by Ab Joy. Where Ab Joy is unable to fully comply with your request, it will inform you of the reasons for this.
7. Questions and/or complaints? Do you wish to modify or update your data?
Do you have questions and/or complaints about our privacy policy or about your privacy, or would you like to receive a copy of the data about you that we hold? Would you like to update the data that you provided to us? Would you like to revoke an authorisation?
